Recipe: Slow Cooker Sloppy Joes

Ingredients

  1. 3 pounds 95% lean ground beef
  2. 1 onion, chopped
  3. 3 cloves garlic, minced
  4. 1-1/4 cups ketchup
  5. 1/4 cup plus 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  6. 1/4 cup honey mustard
  7. 3 tbsp vinegar
  8. hot sauce to taste
  9. Toasted hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. Cook and stir ground beef, onion, and garlic in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain and discard fat.
  2. Combine all ingredients in 4-1/2 quart slow cooker.  Cover; cook on low for 6-8 hours.  Serve on buns.

    Sounds good! I think I might wait until it gets just a bit cooler outside to make them and use what’s left of the warm weather to grill out. I’ll use any excuse to stay outside and enjoy the sunshine a little longer – even cooking! However, I guess serving this for dinner would let me accomplish just that and it wouldn’t require a lot of clean up either. I think you’re on to something, Pam.
