Chocolate Peanut Clusters

From the 2009 banquet program …

Turn to your slow cooker to prepare these convenient chocolate treats.  Making candies couldn’t be any easier!

YIELD:   4 pounds

Recipe: Chocolate Peanut Clusters

Ingredients

  1. 1 jar (16 ounces) salted dry roasted peanuts
  2. 1 jar (16 ounces) unsalted dry roasted peanuts
  3. 1 package (11 ½ ounces) milk chocolate chips
  4. 1 package (10 ounces) peanut butter chips
  5. 3 packages (10-12 ounces each) vanilla or white chips
  6. 2 packages (11 ½ ounces each) 60% cacao bittersweet chocolate baking chips

Instructions

  1. In a 5-quart slow cooker, combine the peanuts. Layer with the remaining ingredients in order given (do not stir). Cover and cook on low for 2 to 2 ½ hours or until chips are melted.
  2. Stir to combine. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let stand until set. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

    These are delicious! I’ve got all the ingredients and will be making a batch this weekend. Found the small boxes and pretty pumpkin-colored metallic ribbon for bows and will be giving these treats to family over Thanksgiving.
