Do you ever wish that you knew the secret to the success you see in other Christian’s lives?   As always, we can find our answer in the Word of God.   He gave invaluable insight to this issue when He spoke to Joshua.   Moses had died and the Israelites were ready to enter the Promised Land.   It had taken them 40 years to get it right, but finally they were ready to claim what God had promised.

Rule #1 – Obedience

“Be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go.”  Joshua 2:7

Rule #2 – Focus on the Word

This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.”  Joshua 2:8

Rule #3 – Courage!

Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and courageous!  Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”  Joshua 2:9

Ladies, it doesn’t get any clearer than that. The Christian’s formula for success is wrapped up in obedience to God’s commands, focusing on the Word and having courage and faith in God, knowing He with us every step of the way!  I sure hope it doesn’t take me 40 years to get it right!
